The Singapore Badminton Stadium was completed in May 1952 and had changing rooms, canteens, offices, four badminton courts and 5500 seats. On 7 June 1952, Singapore Badminton Stadium was officially opened by the Governor of Singapore, Sir John Fearns Nicoll.
