Connections, known colloquially as Connies, is a nightclub in the Northbridge suburb of Perth, Western Australia. [1] It opened in 1975, and is believed to be the longest-running gay club in the southern hemisphere. [2] The club is on the City of Perth heritage register for its significance to the LGBTQIA+ community in Western Australia. [3]
The small to mid-sized venue had a number of attributes that distinguished it from other similarly sized live music pubs and clubs in Perth. A dedicated stage area, fronted by small dance floor, surrounded by an elevated viewing area in a room with a low ceiling made for a unique and intimate atmosphere favourable for large and medium-sized crowds.

The Zanzibar Tavern in Toronto, Ontario, is an adult entertainment nightclub and local landmark found on Toronto's Yonge Street strip. It is one of Toronto's oldest nightclubs, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2020. House of Lancaster operated an Etobicoke venue from 1982 to 2017 and operates a Toronto location since 1983.

In May 1938, Wilkerson announced that he had sold Cafe Trocadero to Nola Hahn, the owner of Club Continental, formerly the Airport Gardens, an illegal casino on Sonora Avenue in Glendale, California. [1] Within a year, however, Cafe Trocadero was under the management of Felix Young, a gambler with ties to producer B.P. Schulberg. [2]
