Wright State University is a public research university in Fairborn, Ohio, United States. Originally opened in 1964 as a branch campus of Miami University and Ohio State University , it became an independent institution in 1967 and was named in honor of aviation pioneers Orville and Wilbur Wright , who were residents of nearby Dayton .
Wright State began competing in intercollegiate basketball in 1970. The NCAA did not officially record assists as a stat until the 1983–84 season, and blocks and steals until the 1985–86 season, but Wright State's record books includes players in these stats before these seasons. These lists are updated through the end of the 2023–24 season.
