Reynolds Michael Tee Tan (born November 18, 1988) is a Filipino politician from the province of Samar. He currently serves as Member of the Philippine House of Representatives for the 2nd District of Samar since 2022. Before being elected as congressman, he served as Governor of Samar and Vice Governor. [1]
Samar's 2nd congressional district is one of the two congressional districts of the Philippines in the province of Samar. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 1916 and earlier in the Philippine Assembly from 1907 to 1916. [ 3 ]
The former province of Samar was divided into three legislative districts from 1907 until 1965.. Its division into three different provinces was only approved in a plebiscite held together with the general elections on November 19, 1965, as mandated by Republic Act No. 4221, [1] which meant that voters still elected representatives under the old district configuration.
