I received my Yahoo email notice last night, which was the last email I got through my MS Outlook. Cox and Yahoo have totally cut off my access to email through Outlook. I followed the Yahoo online instructions to transition my Cox email to Yahoo email and it failed. I use SMTP and my changes match exactly the Yahoo instructions.
Install an email client on your PC, Windows Mail or Outlook or BlueMail for desktop, etc, configure the email client to use POP (not IMAP). POP will download all emails located in your Inbox to the PC for storage. Any emails in folders that you have created, that are not in the Inbox, will need to be moved to the Inbox first.
Delete the old Cox account under Settings -> Mail. Add a new account. Select Yahoo! It will ask you to sign in - use your old Cox email address as your username: jdoe@cox.net and then click next. It will then ask for your password - use the new password you created when you transitioned to Yahoo and then click next.
I rely on a daily email from my Pastor Warren for a Daily Devotional. Since switching to Yahoo! email from Cox, these messages do not go through. I would like to know what settings I need to employ (e.g. whitelist, safe senders, etc) to renew what I had under Cox Email (Outlook).

The only place for a password is the account password for my email account. I have 2 separate cox email accounts that I access using Outlook 2019. I've changed the server information to pop and smtp .mail.yahoo.com and the port for the pop. Other settings are the same. Where do I enter the app password, assuming that Outlook 2019>
A month later an my email recently stopped. I, however am a Cox customer with a cox.net email from back in 2003. For the past week or so, I only get emails downloaded from cox every few hours at best. Using Outlook 2013 on my PC.
Cox has totally dropped the ball here. Have yet seen way using gmail (through a web browser, call it desktop if you which) to "pop" the yahoo pop server to get my cox.net email. Maybe instead of Cox paying a few months of premium support, pay someone on Cox support staff to figure this out and let us know.
