It is very common to find the variant lettering appended to the main model number right on the hood for older Kubota equipment (1970s-1990s). In recent years Kubota has really toned down how many letters they physically apply to the hood although reference literature and brochures still make use of lettering. Some Tips.

Kubota recommends a General Purpose NLGI#2 grease for tie rods, wheel bearings, jack-screws, etc etc... and a “Moly” grease for pins and front end loader grease points. (But Moly is not good for wheel bearings, for example, because it is for sliding, low-speed pins and bushings/bearings and may not allow sufficient friction to cause roller ...

Midland, MI. Nov 25, 2014. #7. It's not exact, and they could have been changed in the past, but the wheels usually have a date of manufacture stamped in them. It can give you a ball park idea at least. The wheels usually would have been made before the tractor was, so it can tell you the tractor is no older than XXXX. D.

Above 14°f Kubota recommends 10w30 or 15w40 (my preference is the 15w). I'm sure the 4w would be fine, but I stick to factory recommendation under warranty. As long as the oil is a diesel oil with API classification of CI-4 or newer (CJ-4 or CK-4) there will not be a warranty issue with using whatever flavor of the approved viscosity (10w30 or ...

Sep 13, 2016. #3. I replaced the Kubota green in my previous L3410 with HOAT coolant (Zerex G05) around 2005 and all was good for the next decade. I was careful to fully flush the system, and changed it out once or twice over the years. Same switch with all other vehicles at the time, including a GM product that had an engine replacement at 60k ...

Virtually all automotive engine OEMs recommend a 10W or lighter oil when ambients are below freezing. That has been the engineering standard for 50+ years. Given the all season performance characteristics available with modern oils there really isnt any good reason to deviate from that standard. Dan.
