This gives you the added bonus of two different looks in the same season. A tight cluster of white flower buds opens and turns pale green.

  6. Jim's Hostas - Dave's Garden

    davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/321

Jim's Hostas are at the top of my list for hosta suppliers. Great plants, great service, and reasonable prices. I placed a $150 order in mid-May, and had the plants in about two weeks. This is a little longer than others, but OK because they set that expectation up front, and delivered on it. Plants were outstanding.

    davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/723543

Ticker Lisbon, IA (Zone 5a) May 15, 2007. If you have grass in your hosta beds you can safely get rid of it with a herbicide specifically for grass. But remember, it will not differentiate between ornamental grasses and the stuff you want to get rid of. Always read the label before using any herbicide.

  11. Green Mountain Hosta Nursery - Dave's Garden

    davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/6745

Each plant was bare rooted, but they were well packed. The roots were moist and very healthy, and each hosta had three eyes, which I believe is quite a bargain, since the plants only cost $5.00 each + s&h. As far as I'm concerned, Green Mountain Hosta Nursery is one of the best hosta nurseries out there.
