  2. exporting dxf from fusion into 2d design has gone wrong

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-manufacture/exporting-dxf-from-fusion-into-2d...

Apply your toolpaths to the part (how you want it cut) using the Fusion CAM workspace and post out using that method, over inserting a .dxf file into your machine. Ditch the .dxf and go straight for code (if your machine can function that way). Bypass the 2D Design V2 software entirely. Report.

  3. Frame 2D Design vs Truss 2D design - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/robot-structural-analysis-forum/frame-2d-design-vs...

The only difference in modeling is that in Frame 2D design module you must select the bars and set as truss members. If the truss is connected to some frame elements (will carry normal, shear and moment), then you must use the frame 2D design module and assign the truss members only as truss ones. 03-01-2019 05:53 AM.

  4. Solved: 2D Printing - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-design-validate-document/2d-printing/td-p/7107189

2D Printing. In the interest of learning Fusion360 I decided to use it to design and build a funky table ( = many strange angles) as a present. After creating the model and the 2D drawings I went to print them and to my great surprise discovered no print button! As I find verifying designs/drawings much easier on paper I ALWAYS print and check.

  5. How do you wrap a 2D design on the curved face of a 3D solid?

draw the shape, extrude and use INTERFERE on the outer bowl. Those are the risen object. union them to the bowl surface not interfered. for indent, two bowls, coincide outer skins, one 1/2 thick (or desired depth) as the other to get the result and subtract from the full thickness bowl.

It is important to have solid objects and not just surfaces. 3. Once you have the mattress as a solid object, make a box or extrusion that has a profile of the cut you want to make. See the yellow object below. 4. Use array to make multiple copies. 5. Give the subtract command and select the mattress.

  7. Covering a 3D sphere with a 2D design pattern - Autodesk...

    forums.autodesk.com/.../covering-a-3d-sphere-with-a-2d-design-pattern/td-p/3209832

The application: Mapping a pattern design onto a sphere - in this case a marble. The pattern design is in pdf format and has been manipulated so that the image fits a certain sized sphere (2") around the circumference. I'm hoping to take this 2D image and wrap around the middle of the marble in full image length and have the image diminish as ...

  8. 2D drawing; dimensions to rounded corner - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-design-validate-document/2d-drawing-dimensions...

That said 2D drawings is still the preferred mode of communication for manufacturing. We internally have the debate (constantly) on the role of 2D drawings if 1) as integration of CAD and CAM tools becomes more tighter with 3D annotations etc. 2) additive manufacturing. Curious to know your guy's thoughts on this topic.

  9. Split a 2D sketch to CNC plasma cut larger stock than my table?

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-design-validate-document/split-a-2d-sketch-to...

I have a sketch that I would like to "split" or "break" into two separate sections so that I can cut the design on my CNC plasma table.  The table will handle about 24" and the design is 48".  How do I take the sketch, cut it in half and then create G-code to cut each section, by moving the stock on the table.  I know I need to do some work to make sure things line up after the ...

  10. Using corridor for 2D Plans - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/civil-3d-forum/using-corridor-for-2d-plans/td-p/9426718

The corridor is used for the design, and to get the FG surface and the material quantities. But the production plans are developed as separate drawings. Because as others have said, it's a combination of that's how we used to do it in the past, and visually it just looks better anyway.

Hi, Hi there, is it possible to convert your 2D sketch into a drawing without extruding. NO. Drawings are derived from bodies. Make a sketch of the contour and extrude it minimally. günther. 07-06-2020 03:30 AM. Hi Feraledge.knives -.
