CBC TV 8 (8PX-TV) is a television station owned and operated by public broadcaster Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation in Barbados.It is the only legally licensed terrestrial television station in Barbados and is owned by the Government of Barbados; [1] its studios are located in The Pine, Saint Michael.
The television service broadcasts on channel 8 and is the only legally licensed, over-the-air television channel broadcasting in the country of Barbados. The corporation also owns and operates three radio stations: CBC Radio on 94.7 MHz FM and 900 kHz AM, The One on 98.1 MHz FM and Q-100.7 on 100.7 MHz FM.
C. CaribWorld Home Shopping - formed in 2004, it is the Caribbean region's first local home shopping programme. It was expanded to Trinidad and Tobago in 2005 and Jamaica the following year. The programme airs on CBC-TV on weekdays at 8.00 am, 11.00 am, and 3.00 pm. [ 1][ 2]
