Eugenie Clark (May 4, 1922 – February 25, 2015), popularly known as The Shark Lady, was an American ichthyologist known for both her research on shark behavior and her study of fish in the order Tetraodontiformes. Clark was a pioneer in the field of scuba diving for research purposes.

Enneapterygius clarkae, the barred triplefin, is a species of threefin blenny in the genus Enneapterygius. [2] It was described by Wouter Holleman in 1982, and was given its species epithet in honour of American ichthyologist Eugenie Clark [3] [4] (1922-2015) [5] It is a tropical blenny known from the Indian Ocean, and has been described from the Red Sea to Natal, South Africa.
