American pika (Ochotona princeps). Ochotonidae is a family of small mammals in the order Lagomorpha.A member of this family is called an ochotonid or, colloquially, a pika. They are widespread throughout Asia and western North America, and are generally found in grassland, shrubland, and rocky biomes.

The Tsing-ling pika (Ochotona syrinx) is a species of pika endemic to the mountains in Central China. [2] It inhabits mountainous forests and shrublands. It is a poorly known species. It is a rarely found, one of the six pika species endemic to central China, although the taxonomy of these is in flux, with no true population studies.
