John Larry Jefferson (né Washington; [1] born February 3, 1956) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). After playing college football with the Arizona State Sun Devils , he was selected in the first round of the 1978 NFL draft by the San Diego Chargers .
