Strawberry Hill is a Jamaican Hotel located in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. It is owned by Chris Blackwell , a philanthropist and entertainment entrepreneur who founded Island Records , Palm Pictures and Island Outpost , a company that owns and operates his boutique hotels.
Runaway Bay is the smallest of Jamaica’s resort areas. It is 12 miles west of Ochos Rios and 50 miles east of Montego Bay. [10] The one-street village of Runaway Bay is lined with all-inclusive resorts and stretches along the A1 for 3 km, merging with the neighboring community of Salem in the east. [17]
Harry W. Lange's company is now named PB&J Resorts II (Jamaica) Limited. Hedonism III opened in 1999 in Runaway Bay and was built on 10 acres (40,000 m 2 ) and contained 225 rooms in 3-story buildings; in August 2010 the company closed Hedonism III temporarily, to allow for remodeling work.
"Electric Avenue" is a song by Guyanese-British musician Eddy Grant. Written and produced by Grant, it was released on his 1982 studio album Killer on the Rampage. In the United States, with the help of the MTV music video he made, it was one of the biggest hits of 1983. The song refers to Electric Avenue in London during the 1981 Brixton riot.
