The match went down to the wire and into overtime as Sri Lanka's Rashmi Perera sent it into the two extra periods. Toh Kai Wei (11 goals) and Amandeep (4 goals) managed to pull things back in Singapore's favour and Singapore edged past Sri Lanka with a scoreline 15–12 in overtime to clinch the 2024 Asian Netball Championship. The 2012 Asian Netball Championships was the 8th edition of the tournament. The tournament was played at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo , Sri Lanka from 25 August to 31 August with ten Asian national netball teams.
Sri Lanka is the reigning champion of the tournament and also the most successful team, having won the Asian Netball Championships 6 times. Singapore has 3 championships and Malaysia has two. Singapore has 3 championships and Malaysia has two.
The school library was set up in 1982 with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Library Services Board. In 1996, a program titled "Library Week" was inaugurated during the "Reading Month". Library facilities are provided to all the pupils of the school and there are two libraries separately; one for Primary Grades and other for seniors.
