Lone Mountain State Forest is a state forest in Morgan County, Tennessee, located in the southeastern United States. The forest consists of 3,624 acres (14.67 km 2) managed by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture. Lone Mountain is a detached ridge-like mountain rising to an elevation of 2,530 feet (770 m) in the southern half of Morgan County.
Maymead Farm, also known as Maymead Stock Farm, is a historic farm in Johnson County, Tennessee, located two miles west of Mountain City. Maymead Farm is one of Johnson County's oldest farms. [1] The land was settled in the 18th century by the Wagner family, who received a land grant from King George II in 1747. [2]
