IMZ-Ural Group Inc., more commonly known as Ural Motorcycles (Russian: Мотоциклы Урал, romanized: Motosikly Ural), is a multinational company involved in developing, manufacturing, and worldwide distribution of Ural sidecar motorcycles.

With the German invasion of the Soviet Union, the plant was transferred east to the town of Irbit in the Ural region. The new plant was known as Irbit Motorcycle Factory . In 1946, the Moscow plant was re-established to manufacture the M-1A Moskva, (the DKW RT 125 taken as war reparations).
imz (m-72) The M-72 was a motorcycle built by the Soviet Union . Conceived as a replacement for the two heavy motorcycles used by the Red Army , the TIZ-AM-600 and PMZ-A-750 , both of which had performed unsatisfactorily during the Winter War against Finland and were considered outdated designs.
In 1936 the plant commenced building the TIZ-AM-600 (Army Motorcycle), a Soviet copy of the BSA 1931 Sloper 600. With the German Invasion of the Soviet Union, the plant was transferred east to the town of Tyumen in the Ural region.
