Nathaniel Milton Gaston (January 27, 1896 – April 26, 1996) was an American right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball from 1924 to 1934. Born in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, he played for the New York Yankees, St. Louis Browns, Washington Senators, Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox.

For example, a baserunner may start running "on the crack of the bat", as opposed to waiting to see where the ball goes. Outfielders often use the sound of bat-meeting-ball as a clue to how far a ball has been hit.
In some cases, an ambassador-at-large may even be specifically assigned a role to advise and assist the state or a government in particular issues. Historically, presidents or prime ministers have designated special diplomatic envoys for specific assignments, primarily overseas but sometimes also within the country as an ambassador-at-large.
