Waterfall in the national park. Horton Plains is located on the southern plateau of the central highlands of Sri Lanka. [2] The peaks of Kirigalpoththa (2,389 m (7,838 ft)) and Thotupola Kanda (2,357 m (7,733 ft)), the second and the third highest of Sri Lanka, are situated to the west and north respectively.
Baker's Falls (Sinhala: බේකර් ඇල්ල) is a famous waterfall in Sri Lanka. It is located inside the Horton Plains National Park, on a tributary of the Belihul Oya. [1] [2] Baker's falls are 20 metres (66 ft) high and 25 m (82 ft) wide. [3] The falls were named after British explorer and big game hunter Sir Samuel Baker.

The waterfalls consist of two falls called "Maha Ella" (Sinhalese "The Greater Fall"), which is 80 metres (260 ft) high and 50 metres (160 ft) wide and "Kuda Ella", (Sinhalese "The Lesser Fall"), which is 50 metres (160 ft) high and located immediately downstream of the main fall. [4] St Clair's falls are the 20th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka.
