During the first 20 years of TV services in Greece, ERT broadcasting was limited, starting at around 5 pm to between midnight and 2 am. Since 1997 the three ERT TV channels are known as ET1, NET and ET3, and broadcast round the clock. ET1 is an entertainment channel whereas NET is focused on news services.
The main news bulletin was first hosted by Giorgos Karameros, and later, by Giorgos Noulas. [5] The channel was renamed to AB Channel in summer 2014. TRT has studios in five cities (Volos, Larissa, Karditsa, Trikala and Athens). The station broadcasts continuously and its programmes are targeted at a broad audience of all ages.
