Wilda Diaz (born Wilda Soto; September 14, 1964) is an American former politician and Mayor of Perth Amboy, New Jersey. She was elected in May 2008, defeating incumbent Joseph Vas by a 58% to 42% margin. [1] She was Perth Amboy's first female mayor and New Jersey's first Latina mayor. [2] She served for 12 years from 2008 until 2020.
