In 1946 the patriarch, Louis M. Martini, was succeeded by his son, Louis P. Martini, a UC Berkeley graduate with a degree in food science. He also studied enology at UC Davis . He introduced innovations like cold rooms and wind machines, and worked with the Napa Technical Group to improve Napa winemaking and grape growing practices.
In 2002 E & J Gallo purchased the Louis M. Martini Winery, giving the company its first Napa Valley location. [16] On September 14, 2007, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia announced a partnership with E & J Gallo Winery to produce a brand of wine labelled "Martha Stewart Vintage". [ 17 ]

Robert McDowell Parker Jr. (born July 23, 1947) is a retired American wine critic. His wine ratings on a 100-point scale and his newsletter The Wine Advocate are influential in American wine buying and are therefore a major factor in setting the prices for newly released Bordeaux wines.
The company has been involved in motor racing sponsorship under the Martini Racing banner since 1968, [4] and was a minor sponsor of Scuderia Ferrari until 2008. From 2014 to 2018 Martini was the title sponsor of Williams F1, with the team officially called "Williams Martini Racing", and the car in the traditional Martini racing colors.
