I did a lot of research on this. Here's my post below. It seems that Walmart offers the best AGM battery and at the best price too compared to the AutoPart's store. In my case currently near my Autozone, an AGM battery is 249 + tax this price may vary depending on the area and Walmart has a 4-year AGM battery for 149 + tax.
That is the only thing that was good with Costco from my battery experience. Lets say you left the lights on and your battery is dead. Hop in the car and go to costco for a free exchange and they do not check for anything such as charge. As long as it is under warranty, you are good to go.
My original battery is still going strong, just tested out like new a couple months ago. But since the average battery lasts three to four years I'm overdue for getting a replacement. My local dealership has a sale on a Toyota TrueStart battery (84-month warranty, 100% free replacement for the first 24 months) - $154.99 installed.
Since you can buy two "5-year" standard batteries, instead of one AGM, I'd go with standard battery. Costco (Interstate) or Walmart (Everstart) both have good reputations; either one will cost under $100. Costco does not install batterys. Walmart will install battery at no charge. First time car owner: You have a whole lotta learning to do.
I read a thread where someone bought a 24F Costco battery in Wisconsin. I figure I am on borrowed time with the original Panasonic battery in my 2007 Highlander. This battery has 36 mo free replacement, the rest is prorated. Toyota dealer was offering a True Start battery or $105. He said that battery is supplied by Interstate.
I purchased my battery from Toyota and they honored the 3 years. When that battery went dead, I was told because the battery was replaced the time before, that I need to purchase the new battery at full price. Now in my father's Nissan truck, his battery is from Costco. He had two months remaining on his warranty, they didn't test the battery.
From personal experience I KNEW a brand new battery would start my car after sitting with the headlamps on for 2 hours 15 minutes(9 holes), after 4.5 (18 holes) hours a new battery was dead. I started doing this to see how long the battery would last versus my yardstick from personal experience.

On Sunday I was battery shopping online for a group 35 battery. Normally, I purchase car batteries at Walmart, their group 35 battery has 550 CCA (southern state area). The Costco Interstate battery group 35 had 640 CCA, which is normally sold in northern states and was about $10-$15 cheaper. Naturally I purchased the Interstate battery from ...
