Shreya Ghoshal on the set of Indian Idol Junior. Shreya Ghoshal (born 12 March 1984) is an Indian playback singer. She sings in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, Oriya, Bhojpuri, Punjabi and Tulu languages. Ghoshal's career began when she won the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contest as an adult.

Shreya Ghoshal is an Indian singer who has established herself as a leading playback singer of Indian cinema. She is highly regarded as one of the most successful singers of all time, having won seven Filmfare Awards , ten Filmfare Awards South and five National Film Awards .
The Tamil, Hindi and Telugu version of the song is sung by Shreya Ghoshal. Reviewers from Sify called the song "The album's melody quotient". He praised the lyrics by Madhan Karky and vocals by the lead singers: "The way Shreya Ghoshal's humming has been used in the first interlude laced with classical improvisations is top-notch". [14]

A female version of the song, sung by Shreya Ghoshal, was released on 1 December 2010. This track was released as part of the collector's edition of the soundtrack, titled A. R. Rahman Collectors' Edition Pack of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. Shreya Ghoshal had also performed the song when it was used in the background score of the film.
