Howard Miller Clock Company was founded in 1926, as the Herman Miller Clock Company division of office furniture manufacturer Herman Miller, specializing in chiming wall and mantle clocks. [2] It was spun off in 1937 and renamed, under the leadership of Herman Miller's son Howard C. Miller (1905–1995). [ 3 ]

The clock-making work moved to Zeeland in the spring of 2005. The Ridgeway plant's production focus became curio cabinets and wine cabinets, product lines more vulnerable to import competition than grandfather and mantel clocks. In December 2007, Howard Miller Clock Co. closed its subsidiary Ridgeway Furniture, resulting in about 70 job losses. [1]

E. Howard & Co. was a clock and watch company founded in 1958 by Edward Howard and Charles Rice after the demise of the Boston Watch Company. The pair acquired some of the material and watches in progress through a lien held by Rice against the defunct company.

Hall in the 1990s [24] (donated in 2003 to the National Watch and Clock Museum, Columbia, Pennsylvania, USA). The largest pendulum clocks, exceeding 30 m (98 ft), were built in Geneva (1972) and Gdańsk (2016). [25] [26]
