The new station was assigned the call letters KAJT by the FCC on January 13, 1995. [1] This was short-lived the station was assigned the current KBDN call letters on March 10, 1995. [ 1 ] After a modification and one extension, KBDN received its license to cover from the FCC on January 24, 1997.
The station opened on 1 August 1849. It was rebuilt in 1894. There was a rail connection from the station to the nearby Allman's Bandon Distillery. Regular passenger services were withdrawn on 1 April 1961. [1]
