Covert, Michigan was a place of racial integration from its founding in the 1860s. The school had both black and white students starting in the 1860s. Blacks were elected to numerous positions from 1868 on. [5] The Covert cemetery is the final resting place of both black and white Civil War veterans. [6]

This is a list of district-level subdivisions (Vietnamese: đơn vị hành chính cấp huyện) of Vietnam. This level includes: district-level cities ( thành phố thuộc Thành phố trực thuộc trung ương , thành phố thuộc Tỉnh ), towns ( thị xã ), rural districts ( huyện ) and urban districts ( quận ).
Many, if not most city names in Vietnam are Sino-Vietnamese, but some cities also have earlier Nôm names: Hà Nội 河內 (Hanoi) is Sino-Vietnamese and has had many Sino-Vietnamese names - Thăng Long 昇龍, Đông Kinh 東京 - but it also had a name in chữ Nôm, Kẻ Chợ 仉𢄂, found on some early Portuguese-made maps as "Cachao".

Covert was founded and laid out in 1880. At its height, the population was 150. [3] A post office was opened at Covert in 1873, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1961. [4] The town is known for the 1923 discovery of the Covert Meteorite, and for "the unsolved murders of the Albert Kaser family in 1928". [5]
