Rockwall County is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. At 149 square miles (390 sq km), Rockwall County has the smallest area of any Texas county. Per the 2020 Census, its population was 107,819. Heath is located in southwestern Rockwall County. A small portion of the city—0.31 square miles (0.79 km 2)—extends south into Kaufman County. [8] According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 10.7 square miles (27.7 km 2), of which 10.56 square miles (27.36 km 2) are land and 0.14 square miles (0.35 km 2), or 1.27%, are water.

The 33rd district of the Texas House of Representatives consists of Rockwall County and a portion of southern Collin County.
