Rival Schools is an American post-hardcore band from New York City, New York. For most of their tenure, the band has featured Walter Schreifels on vocals and guitar , Ian Love on guitar, Cache Tolman on bass guitar , and Sam Siegler on drums .
Following the album's release, the group went on a December US tour. [30] In January 2002, the band went on a US tour with Burning Brides, Solea, and Taking Back Sunday, [31] [32] followed by a European tour in February and March. [33] "Used for Glue" was released as a single on March 18, 2002; the song's music video was directed by Marcos Siega.

After Rival Schools' dissolution, he went on to form Walter and the Motorcycles, who recorded but never released a self-titled LP and played a few shows but quickly broke up. Walking Concert , his next project, was heavily influenced by classic British acts such as Elvis Costello , The Kinks , Syd Barrett , David Bowie and The Smiths .
Rival Schools reformed in April 2008, [10] which Schreifels credited to the Gorilla Biscuits reunion: "I longed for the togetherness that defines Rival Schools."
