The club was established in 2022 by agent Willie McKay, [4] and were initially placed into the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior Football League for the 2022–23 season, [5] in which they were crowned champions of Division Two.

In 2020, the club was renamed as Askern Miners FC and re-joined the Doncaster Saturday League. On 13 May 2022, the club announced a merger with then Northern Counties East League Division One side F.C. Humber United , after the latter side were left looking for a new, "permanent home". [ 7 ]
