HP 3000 Series III. The HP 3000 series [1] is a family of 16-bit and 32-bit minicomputers from Hewlett-Packard. [2] It was designed to be the first minicomputer with full support for time-sharing in the hardware and the operating system, features that had mostly been limited to mainframes, or retrofitted to existing systems like Digital's PDP-11, on which Unix was implemented.
One port that was special to this series (as well as other HP laptops of the time) is the proprietary expansion port for HP's Expansion Dock that allows an extra array of ports when the laptop is docked. The HP Envy (stylized in all caps) is a line of consumer-oriented high-end laptops, desktop computers and printers manufactured and sold by HP Inc. since 2009. It originally started as a high-end version of the HP Pavilion line before becoming its own separate line years later.
