Spring Snow (春の雪, Haru no Yuki) is a novel by Yukio Mishima, the first in his Sea of Fertility tetralogy. It was published serially in Shinchō from 1965 to 1967, and then in book form in 1969. [1] Mishima did extensive research, including visits to Enshō-ji in Nara, to prepare for the novel. [2]

Riyoko Ikeda (池田 理代子, Ikeda Riyoko, born December 18, 1947) is a Japanese manga artist and singer. She is included in the Year 24 Group by some critics, journalists, and academics, although her inclusion has been debated due to a focus more on epic stories than the internal psychology of those mangaka. The manga also includes a mildly dark revelation involving Haru's cat friend from childhood, Yuki. In this version, Yuki was struck and killed by a vehicle. The Cat Kingdom is a sort of cat heaven, and Yuki helps Haru out of gratitude for feeding her fish crackers when she was a little girl. [16]
A trial version called Sakura no Uta ~Haru no Yuki~ (サクラノ詩 ~春ノ雪~) was released on September 6, 2008 as a pre-order bonus for Supreme Candy ~Oudou ni wa Oudoutaru Riyuu ga Arun Desu!~, containing the first chapter of the title. [7]
