    I feel your pain! I had same 3 wks ago. Upper molar. I now have severe pain in my jaw and ear feels like my lower wisdom tooth. Also pain in tooth next to extraction site. Been back to dentist who can't find anything and referred me to dental hospital which iv got to wait for. I'm having no sleep and affecting me mentally.

    Advil actually works in 2 ways (in low doses only a pain reliever and in higher doses -- 600mg or more as a pain reliever and anti-inflammatory). Advil should always been taken with food as it can cause stomach upset if taken on an empty stomach. I think that the time between the 2 appts is probably up to you.
