Monitor Polski (English: Official Gazette of the Republic of Poland, abbreviated M. P. or MP) is a publication of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland. The paper was launched in 1918. [ 1 ] Between September and December 1939, the government section of the paper was published from France by the exiled government. [ 1 ]

Merkuriusz Polski, 1661. The oldest Polish newspaper was Merkuriusz Polski, first published in 1661. A number of other dailies were established during the First Polish Republic, including the Monitor and Gazeta Warszawska. [4] Public radio service and the first national news agency were both founded at the beginning of the 20th century.
Monitor was founded in March 1765 by Ignacy Krasicki and Franciszek Bohomolec, with active support from King Stanisław August Poniatowski. It came out weekly, later semi-weekly. Its title was a tribute to the "small" Monitor published by Prince Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski.

In August of that year 26 first members gathered at a wiki meetup in Kraków to elect the board members and vote on the statute of the new association. It was officially registered on 15 November 2005. On 28 March 2007 Wikimedia Polska was officially inscribed on the list of public benefit organizations held by the Polish Ministry of Justice.
