Boldt Castle is a major landmark and tourist attraction in the Thousand Islands region of the U.S. state of New York. Open to guests seasonally between mid-May and mid-October, it is located on Heart Island in the Saint Lawrence River .

Chambers Island, named in honor of Col. Talbot Chambers, is a 2,834 acre (4.428 sq. mi.) island in Green Bay, about 7 miles (11 km) off the coast of the Door Peninsula, near Gibraltar, Wisconsin.

He was born as Georg Karl Boldt in Bergen auf Rügen, Pommern, on April 25, 1851. [2] [a] He immigrated to the United States in 1864. [1]He began as a kitchen worker in New York and, at age 25, was hired (by his future father-in-law) to manage the dining room of Philadelphia's most exclusive gentlemen's club, The Philadelphia Club.
The house was of exotic design to the area and unmatched in the Wisconsin landscape at the time. The house was completed in 1901. Mrs. Lauerman only lived there for two years after its completion. Mr. Lauerman continued to live in the house until his death in 1959. The house still remains with his family. [3]
