The Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation was formed in 1996 and is affiliated with the World Taekwondo Federation. [29] Bangladesh Taekwondo team achieved 2 Gold at Open International Taekwondo Championships-2009 held in Seoul from 18 to 22 August 2009. [30] Bangladesh has also won some gold medals at the South Asian games. [31]
