Spur 498 designated on April 29, 1971 from SH 146 to Spur 501 in LaPorte via Wharton Weems Blvd. This was cancelled on July 28, 1977 and mileage was transferred to rerouted Loop 410 (not to be confused with I-410 ), whose alignment on Fairmont Parkway was cancelled and given to the city of LaPorte.
Spur 527 is a 0.863-mile (1.389 km) spur route in Midtown Houston in the U.S. state of Texas. The roadway is a freeway spur that feeds traffic from the Southwest Freeway (Interstate 69/U.S. Highway 59) into Downtown Houston. The number was chosen to honor the NCAA championship won by the 1965–66 Texas Western Miners men's basketball team as the road passes the university (now known as The University of Texas at El Paso ).
Spur 98 was designated on May 9, 1940, from SH 16 near the south end of the Guadalupe River Bridge at Kerrville to the then-new State Negro Sanitarium (now Kerrville State Hospital) as a redesignation of SH 248. On August 27, 1978, the road was extended northwest 1.8 miles (2.9 km). Spur 98 was cancelled on April 29, 2010, and changed to Loop 98.

Spur 303 was designated on February 23, 1956, from Rosedale Street (now I-820), south of the Texas and Pacific Railway overpass at Handley, east along an old interurban rail line and along Park Row Street in Arlington to the then-proposed extension of SH 360.
