On 10 December 2023, the BJP legislature party meeting was held in Raipur headed by its central observers Arjun Munda, Sarbananda Sonowal and Dushyant Kumar Gautam where Kunkuri MLA Vishnu Deo Sai was elected as the next chief minister and Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma were elected as deputy chief ministers.
