I'm Alive is the tenth album by American singer-songwriter Jackson Browne, released in 1993 (see 1993 in music). The title track, "I'm Alive", reached No. 18 on the Album Rock Tracks chart and No. 28 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Other singles released from the album were "Everywhere I Go" (UK No. 67 [1]) and "Sky Blue and Black".

In 1975, Swedish band Blue Swede recorded a mash-up which combined verses of I'm Alive with others borrowed from Hush, by Deep Purple. The song was also recorded by Tom Jones. The track appeared on his 2008 album 24 Hours. Canadian garage-punk band, UIC, from Toronto, Ontario, recorded their version of I'm Alive on their 1986 album Our Garage.
Critics of Tell Me I'm Alive have described the album as a blend of pop rock and pop punk. [4] [5] Tracks on the album prominently feature synth and piano.[3]In an interview with the Daily Express, Gaskarth described the album's sound as an "amalgamation" of Last Young Renegade and Wake Up, Sunshine. Alive garnered positive reviews from music critics, being hailed as "trendsetting".Fuse named Alive one of the best albums of the year, the only non-English album on the list, writing that the record "blurs the lines between traditional K-pop, dance pop, R&B and just about every other genre", and calling it "one of Big Bang's most well-rounded releases to date."
The film's version of the song contains a fairly lengthy instrumental introduction, a small segment of which is used for the album version. [ citation needed ] The single's B-side, "Drum Dreams", is also featured in the film at the beginning of the Xanadu nightclub grand opening scene and segues into the movie title song.
