Versions of the Truth is the thirteenth studio album by British progressive rock band The Pineapple Thief, released on 4 September 2020 through Kscope. It is the third album to include Gavin Harrison on drums.
The album starts with "Shapes of Things", a song from Beck's old band. Three originals were credited to "Jeffrey Rod", a pseudonym for Beck and Stewart, all reworkings of existing blues songs: "Let Me Love You" by Buddy Guy; "Rock My Plimsoul" and "Blues Deluxe" which respectively derive from "Rock Me Baby" and "Gambler's Blues" by B.B. King.
"The Old Songs" is a song written by David Pomeranz and Buddy Kaye and was featured in Pomeranz's 1980 album, The Truth of Us. [2] In 1999, the song was re-recorded again in Pomeranz's 1999 album, Born for You: His Best and More .
