I guess it depends on the defaults of different virtual machine software, because I use kernel based virtual machines on Linux, and the host running a VPN results in the virtual machine using the VPN's IP as well, even though the virtual machine doesn't have a VPN.
Could you tell me if you have any virtual machine programs? (eg. vmware, virtualbox) If you do, Search "Uninstall a program and find the virtual machine program and press uninstall" If that does still not work try doing a factory reset on windows 11.
Virtual machine hopping is incredibly rare. however, as such many industry leading professionals conduct malware analysis within virtual machines despite the inherent risk. While i can not in good conscience claim that the endeavour is entirely without risk here are a few articles outlining best practises.
Disabling all Hyper-V and WSL services has resolved the popup saying "Virtual machine service is enabled" but it did not restore the performance. Virtualization is enabled in the bios as well (It worked prior to installing Docker with WSL) If it isn't possible, then Bluestacks is the next option but I'd like to know if it can be fixed first.
A virtual machine is an emulation of a computer system that is entirely self-contained inside a different machine. To put it simply - a VM on your computer allows you to run an entirely different operating system on it, as if you have a second computer.
Works great. :) Keep in mind that a good quality USB hub is also a must. USB sound, keyboard, mouse, and you'll probably want room for extra thumb drives or other peripherals you may want to hook directly to your virtual machine. Potential Cost Reductions: Core i5 with VT-d and 16GB of RAM options might bring the cost down significantly.
You want the machine to have a bit better specs than a regular windows pc - that way malware won't think "Oh hey, this computer I am on has suspiciously low specs - it's probably a VM! Better delete myself to hinder any threat hunting efforts".
So i am a mac user, and I have been using bluestacks for quite a while, but since bluestacks 5 is only out for windows users i wanted to try it but i sadly couldn't reckon that my virtual machine is parallels desktop. So if you have any idea on how i can run it in Parellels Desktop that would be very much appreciated.
Well virtual box is a toy, essentially baby’s first hypervisor, so yes VMware is better. But if you have virtualbox installed and working and you’re happy then that’s what matters. Reply reply
Due to the pandemic I've been working remotely and I've been working off my work laptop and having my personal machine separate. I decided to take a chance at setting up an Ubuntu 20.04 virtual machine on my personal machine using Hyper-V to use as a work machine.
