To create a shortcut for Yahoo mail, I suggest you to follow the steps below: Right click on empty space of the desktop and hover the mouse pointer over at New from the context menu. Select Shortcut and type https://mail.yahoo.com web address in the address bar.
So for example Chrome go to your Yahoo mail. Then click the More Tools - Create shortcut. This will put it on your desktop then you can drag it to your taskbar. And then if delete from desktop that extra shortcut if you dont' want it.

Thank you very much. I just got it back, and then I found your answer. I did not have any favorites, but it was close to what I did. The only way I could get my mail was to go to "Search Programmes And Files" and then click on Rogers Yahoo. I tried dragging it across and it worked. Yahoo! Pedie.

I am not sure either of us understands the other. I have hundreds and hundreds of Yahoo emails that I wish to move or copy all at once to my desktop, not another email app so I can then save them for perpetuity such as to a DVD to leave to others in the event of my death.
