I now have three of these cameras as it's become my favourite AF Pentax camera. The main reason for that is that it goes to 1/8000s, unique in Pentax film cameras, which lets me use 400-speed film at f/2.8 on a sunny-16 day while still being useful with ISO 400 when light is lower.
The camera is plastic, but still feels quite solid, unlike my Pentax *ist. I love the on/off button on Z-10. The AF is noisy and slow and has only one AF point. It works just like on later cameras, so manual lenses can be used without problems. All in all, it's a great automatic camera, but not very suitable for more sophisticated users.
I got this camera for pretty cheap on the ebay as the first AF pentax film body I have ever owned. I figured for the price this would be a good way to test out if I like the MZ/ZX series body. I like the size and weight, its smallish and light and makes it easy to carry around for long periods of time, however larger lenses quickly make it feel ...

The camera offers more customization than any other Pentax model, with ten user modes, five of which can be accessed via the exposure mode dial, as well as more options for customizing physical buttons than ever before, as well as the S.Fn wheel with its five selectable functions from a list of 22 options.
Pentax DSLRs also support in-camera lens corrections (vignetting, distortion, etc.) for DA lenses. DA lenses do not have aperture rings, as DSLRs can control the aperture setting electronically. A key new feature launched with the DA series is quick shift , or the ability for the user to manually override the focus setting at any time simply by ...
The SF10 is a basic down to earth camera much in the character of the Pentax K-1000. It takes the users imagination get the best out of it. If you are looking for a basic film camera to get away from the digital world this model gets some of the features of the newer digital D-SLR while keeping the simple nature of earlier film cameras like the ...
This Pentax camera works best with Pentax's own flash units but I found the MZ-30 will work nicely with my Sunpak Auto 36FD flash. One downside to this camera is that the aperture ring on most lenses have to be set to the "A" position otherwise the MZ-30 won't work properly-the shutter will not release (by comparison, the ZX-50 will with the ...
