The Saigon River (Vietnamese: Sông Sài Gòn) is a river located in southern Vietnam that rises near Phum Daung in southeastern Cambodia, flows south and southeast for about 230 km (140 mi) and empties into the Nhà Bè River, which in its turn empties into the South China Sea some 20 km (12 mi) northeast of the Mekong Delta.
It is the urban area of the much larger Kuala Lumpur metropolitan area, known as Greater Kuala Lumpur. The Klang Valley is geographically delineated by the Titiwangsa Mountains to the east and the Strait of Malacca to the west. It extends to Rawang in the northwest, Semenyih in the southeast, and Klang and Port Klang in the southwest. [1]
The High Commissioner's official residence was King's House (now part of a hotel, Carcosa Seri Negara), located inside the Perdana Lake Gardens in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of the Federated Malay States. King's House served as an important place for royal dignitaries and distinguished guests.
Originally built as the official residence and guest house of the British High Commissioner in Malaya, it is now owned by the Government of Malaysia. The name is a composite of the two colonial mansions located on the compound: the residence, named Carcosa (completed in 1898), and the guest house, now named Seri Negara (1913).
