The Circuit de Dakar Baobabs is a racing circuit located near the village of Sindia in Senegal. It is the first permanent racing circuit of West Africa and homologated by the FIA in 2009. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The track is used mainly for local races and championships, including the Dakar 6 hours race, organised for the 30th time in 2010.
The event takes place between 31 December 2022 and 15 January 2023. This is the fourth time Saudi Arabia has hosted the event. For the second year running, the event is also the first round of the 2023 World Rally-Raid Championship. The outline of the race route was presented on 5 June 2022.
