Jamie gets a phone number from an attractive courier while on patrol with Eddie, but later finds the young woman gave him a fake number and is working for a counterfeiter. Rather than arrest her, he does the job of a detective and has her lead him to her boss, before reconsidering and turning the case over to the proper people.
Meanwhile, after questioning her place within the NYPD, Baez gets shot but recovers in the hospital. Also, Eddie is torn when her temporary partner hides her pregnancy due to wanting to make detective, thereby putting herself and her unborn child at risk in the field.
