Donald Joseph Bogue (1918–2014) was an American sociologist and demographer.. Bogue was born in Utah and raised on a farm near Independence, Missouri. [1] [2] He earned his bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Iowa in 1939, and completed a master's degree in the same subject at Washington State College the following year.
John Graunt (24 April 1620 – 18 April 1674) has been regarded as the founder of demography. [1] Graunt was one of the first demographers, and perhaps the first epidemiologist, though by profession he was a haberdasher.
Teixeira's book The Emerging Democratic Majority, written with John Judis (Scribner, 2002), was the most widely discussed political book of that year and generated praise across the political spectrum, from George Will on the right to E.J.
