Since 1968, the brewery in Cologne has been advertising on Aachener Straße with a moving neon sign in which a male lifts a glass of Kölsch to his mouth at a 90-degree angle. [ 2 ]
In 1854, brewer Johann Heinrich Ihring started the J.H. Ihring Brewery in Lich am Hardtberg. At this location there is a natural spring and a fermentation cellar for chilling the beer. Johann's father was known to provide the beer to the guests and residents of his guesthouse, which was called "Zum goldenen Löwen" ("The Golden Lion").

Beck's Brewery, also known as Brauerei Beck & Co., is a brewery in the northern German city of Bremen. In 2001, Interbrew bought Brauerei Beck for 1.8 billion euros; at that time it was the fourth-largest brewer in Germany. [2] US manufacture of Beck's has been based in St. Louis, Missouri, since early 2012. [3]
