I have been presented with the opportunity to do detailing at a local self service car wash. They have a ...
Optimum Car Wash did the same thing to me (suds die quickly). But I still liked it for it's cleaning ability. Smelled good too. But, I would never buy more of it. Like you, I like to have plenty of suds. I can finish washing my truck, dry the whole thing, and apply a coat of spray wax before the suds in my bucket of HyperWash completely die off.
i feel more comfortable using an actual car soap that has the cleaning ability to strip and prep the surface prior to detailing. i use chemical guys citrus wash and gloss concentrated. diluting it at 1oz to 1 gallon of water is perfect for prep. some people add 1 or 2 oz of APC to their soap to also prep the surface.

Get 2 five gallon buckets, 2 grit guards, a good wash media and the rinseless wash, may I suggest Duragloss rinseless. You'll also want a large drying ...
