Formerly I copied a ttf-file to C:\Windows\Fonts, clicked the file to display the font, then clicked on [Install] and everything was fine. When I do this procedure now, the font is not installed in C:\Windows\Fonts, but in C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts - to the effect that when I do a GraphicsEnvironment ...
These variations do not show up in the C:->windows->fonts folder, but are sub-fonts of the ones listed, and show up in C:->windows->fonts->arial. However, some of my apps cannot find the variations. I have tried to copy from the C:->windows->fonts->arial to the C:->windows->fonts folder, but it just dings.
I do have the problem, that when I install 8 Fonts, only 6 are stored under C:\Windows\Fonts. But in the Windows Settings there are all 8. Here all fonts in the Windows Settings: vs. Only 6 fonts under C:\Windows\Fonts. Does anybody know how to solve this issue? Thanks. Best regards, Andreas
However, I'm not able to copy fonts into the c:\windows\fonts folder. Dragging font files there fails silently, and if I copy them the 'paste' option is greyed out in the c:\windows\fonts folder. I see this behaviour both as my normal user and as the administrator user.
In other words, this program, which still runs on Windows XP and Windows 10, does not run in Windows 11 because Windows 11 will, by default, not allow the ttf file to be physically put in c:\Windows\Fonts. But in order to run the program I really need this ttf font in the c:\Windows\Fonts folder.

The Fonts folder is inside the Windows folder (e.g. C:\Windows\Fonts). Programmatically grab it through these steps: Key off a different special folder that does exist in the enumeration value of .NET 2, like the system folder Environment.SpecialFolder.System. Grab the parent folder of the system folder (gets the base Windows folder)
I want to find all paths that contain font files that are installed on a Windows 10 system. Traditionally, fonts are installed in C:\Windows\Fonts but apparently, they can also be installed in different directories. Specifically, I got a report from a user who has installed the font Albertus Extra Bold on Windows 10.
