The Constitution of Texas is the foremost source of state law. Legislation is enacted by the Texas Legislature, published in the General and Special Laws, and codified in the Texas Statutes. State agencies publish regulations (sometimes called administrative law) in the Texas Register, which are in turn codified in the Texas Administrative Code.
In 1995, H.B. 2304 was enacted, which required that the Secretary of State make the Administrative Code available online free of charge. [1] [2] As of 2020, there are 17 titles in the Code, [3] listed below.
